Pre World Championships Paragliding 2010 in Piedrahita

This  year Piedrahita will celebrate two important competitions in the lead up to the World Championhsips next year in 2011.  The FAI Pre World Championships www.piedrahita2011.com and the XC Open www.xc-open.org .  Information can also be found on www.flypiedrahita.com and http://www.cornejadegredos.es/pages/eventos.html .
The World Championship is critical in maintaining the interest and support of local and regional politicians.  The knock on effects of these events is a further improvement  of the take off, the landing field rental and an improved helicopter service for the area.  Although as a free flying club member you may have no interest in competitions, these events are vital to maintaining and improving flying in the area.  Thank you for your support and interest.
