Piedrahita in the press due to the international events of 2008

During 2008 there were 2 international paragliding events (in 2007 there were 4), both of them in September.  The Diario de Avila published and in colour over two pages and the DHV-info, official magazine of the German association of free flying with a circulation of 34.000, published 4 pages about the events in Piedrahitia.

There is no doubt that free flying puts this region in the world spotlight for those interested in flying.  With suitable management the flying tourism could considerably improve the economic outlook of the area.  The Club LA CORNEJA DE GREDOS is at the service of the institutions who wish to make this step and consolidate the practice of paragliding and hang gliding in this area.
