An ambitious plan underway


The international free flying  Club LA CORNEJA DE GREDOS is working on this web  page in conjunction with the publicity agency HELVETICA, specialists in developing web pages and graphic design.

We have decided to undertake this ambitious project which will offer useful and practical  information, which will serve for free fliers and other visitors who wish to know better our area, privileged not only for its flying conditions but for its natural and historic landscape.
It is our intention to offer a form of communication, both modern and effective, to inform you of the activities of the Club and flying in the area.   Three languages will help pilots from any part of the world to learn of the flying conditions and the infrastructure in the Valdecorneja valley so that they may plan their stay here.

Flying tourism not only benefits the hotel and restaurant trade but many other tourist activities and services.   Pilots generally spend between one and four weeks in the area and normally do not come alone.  Apart from flying they always wish to discover other facets of such an attractive region.   With such a long stay they generally have other needs (food, chemist supplies, clothing, petrol, technical service …) which because of the lack of information are difficult to find for outside visitors.

With time we intend to increase our information on flying and tourism to cover the southern part of the Gredos Mountains (Tiemblo, Pedro Bernardo..).   Fortunately the province of Avila has excellent conditions and an abundance of quality sites.
The web page of our Club could be an ideal advertising site for those who love flying, adventure sports and rural tourism.  For this reason we hope to attain support from companies who wish to advertise via our website.

For pilots, apart from detailed information about flying conditions, take-offs and landings, weather info, etc, we will soon have a forum for our members where you can advertise your own second hand equipment or needs.
